THE BATTLE OF LEXINGTON & CONCORD REDUX: The GOP's War on Ideas in the Texas Governor's Race and Suppression of Twin Towers Alliance's Effort to Restore NYC Skyline

In the words of Thomas Jefferson, "All tryranny needs to get a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent." This past week “Der Fuhrer" Dick Cheney's address to the CPAC Conference received such a warm welcome. For me it brought back such warm and fuzzy memories of the rise of kleptorcratic rule in America, that almost made me long for the days of candor, honesty and integrity of Spiro Agnew and Richard Nixon. The only thing missing from Der Fuhrer Dick Cheney's address to the CPAC Conference was him speaking in GERMAN.

CPAC OR C-RACK?

The irony of these so called "Conservatives" (or Neo-con Artists)---is that they are more like kleptocratic activists who long for the days of unlimited self dealing and pillaging the republic and the planet at the expense of their fellow citizens and humanity in general. The GOP is no longer the party of Goldwater and Reagan but remains the party of Kristol, Krauthammer, Wolfowitz, Cheney & Limbaugh. Furthermore, fascinating it is that their rather fierce independent spirit gives them such contempt for those who attempt to bargain and reason with them. Their preference seems to be Autocratic Rule. The way you reason with this crowd is to take a page right out of Der Fuhrer's Ruling Guide. They prefer the sweet crack of a whip across their proverbial intellectual backside so regularly while being reminded "Ve Have Vays of Making De Republic Verk and you vill do as ve say". Laugh if you will but I think I am on to something here. OBAMA ought to learn a lesson from watching Der Fuhrer. The only way you pass Health Care is to bring out the gimp and shove Health Reform right up their proverbial keister while putting a ballgag in their mouth (See: Pulp Fiction or Puckerup.com) Der Fuhrer ended by reminding President Obama and his subjects to The "Do as we say OBAMA or ve shall make you a one term President." The crowd rose simultaneously to salute Der Fuhrer with chants of Heil 2012, excuse me, I mean Cheney 2012. Sorry I lost myself there for a second while watching this conference which looked a wee bit like those lynch mob gatherings around a burning across that were oh too familiar in the Southern Confederate States around the Reconstruction Era in America (See: The History Channel). But even the effort to script this farce with a Romney victory could not hold back a Ron Paul victory in the CPAC Presidential Straw Poll, defeating all of Fox News's Neo-Icons as the choice to run in 2012.

TEA PARTY CONSTITUTIONALIST MOVEMENT: 9/11 Truth Litmus Test & GOP efforts to Detoxify the Movement to a tolerable level of dissent.

The original Tea Party Constitutionalist Movement inspired by and that coalesced around the Liberty based Presidential candidacy of Ron Paul in 2008 which the Republican establishment very much tried to ignore, marginalize and undermine they have subsequently decided to infiltrate with Neocon’s who are then free to attack, marginalize and undermine the principals and participants that the movement was founded upon. So what’s the goal or the end game? Absorb the brand of “dissent” represented by the True Liberty Movement, while filtering out the undesirable elements of dissent, in particular the 9/11 Truth Movement, and bring it into the National GOP apparatus, install their own Neocon think tank figureheads, like the Neocon Puppet known as Sarah Palin and become perceived as the anti-establishment party; fascinating, if it were not so unbelievable. Evidence of the Neocon Guerrilla's in the Midst came in the form of Glenn Beck’s recent well timed targeted ambush of Texas Citizen Debra Medina’s gubernatorial candidacy, just as the Texas Conservative base was shifting away from Perry towards Medina. Beck's administration of a 9/11 Truth Litmus Test to question her standing and that of some of her supporters, much in the same way Beck was able through McCarythite tactics to bring down Van Jones, was a booby trap straight out of the Neocon Playbook.The Manufactured Controversy Backfired with the vast majority backing Medina over Beck, even while other mainstream media outlets ran with the headline that Medina's Candidacy had self destructed as quickly as Perry's robocalls began in Texas accusing Debra Medina of being a 9/11 Truther. Even more troubling, however, is that when you pull back the veil, it appears that Beck and Perry's Clear Channel Connections resulted in an unholy alliance between the two to engineer and orchestrate an attack to undermine Medina's surging popularity with Perry supporters.

What this illustrates is that DC Insiders and the mainstream political establishment in both parties is hesitant about allowing the elevation to high office people outside the U.S. mainstream political apparatus. The so called "party of ideas" is now engaged in a WAR on your right to have ideas. No discussion, just accept the damn facts without so much a legitimate inquiry of your national leaders. Even as they court certain members of the so called "Liberty" movement in America who are considering taking their Tea Party uptown to fancier digs at RNC Headquarters only tells you that their efforts to conquer and divide are succeeding. America is drifting towards crony capitalism, Kleptocracy if you will, with the beneficiaries differing only by the party in power. If you think that the RNC is going to channel Debra Medina's message clear down to the bedrock foundation of their party, you are seriously kidding yourself. If Medina can withstand the establishment attacks on her candidacy and she upends Kay Bailey Hutchinson to force a run-off with Neocon apparatchik Rick Perry, Texans have a chance to send a message to Washington that what is happening, with all due respect to Rich Karlgaard, is far more than "Jobless Paranoia." The people are in fact waking up to the assault on their right to have ideas and to question the existing social order and whether it is in fact working for the every man.

The Twin Towers Alliance Effort To Restore NYC's Skyline

The Great Enigmatic Comprise at the World Trade Center Site has been called many things, from a half hollowed monument to cowardice, a Disneyland of Death and A National Disgrace. As reported by the Twin Towers Alliance, an organization that remains the Conscience of a city, the country and a silent majority of Americans who still want to see the Twin Towers rebuilt: "..Most Americans have always wanted to see new Twin Towers rise at Ground Zero. In January, 2009, over 90% of those who answered an MSNBC poll chose 21st-century Twin Towers over the current plan. A year later, the site is a spreading sinkhole for not only public money, but public confidence." You may want to ask MSNBC's David Shuster about the repurcussions of engaging in a dialogue about rebuilding the Twin Towers at an inopportune time.

What is most frustrating as an American Citizen who is also a New Yorker is to see my fellow citizens, folks like Margaret Donovan who is one of the co-founders of the Twin Towers Alliance, devote her life to the battle that represents the will of the people in only to be ignored, frustrated even as she represents our last stand against the elites who see ignoring the will of the people as some badge of honor. Make no mistake Ms. Donovan, is as patriotic an American as you will find. She wants not fame or notoriety, is not affiliated with any other movement other than the restoration of New York's skyline. Ms. Donovan has the simplest and purest of dreams, that we as people rise up to be the best we can be as Americans, as New Yorkers. Try telling any New Yorker, a born and raised one like myself or even a transplant who came to adopt New York as their home town that Twin Towers were just a couple of buildings. As stated in a Tribute entitled Hallowed Site No Place for Hawkers: “Every native New Yorker knows there can be no memorial, tribute, statue, sculpture — no man made marker — that can adequately stand symbolically as a remembrance of the sacrifice and courage — the epitome of the New York City spirit and character — displayed as the world stood witness on September 11, 2001."

So with all due respect to the urbanists and other elite members of the architectural and urban planning community, to the politico's, the businessmen and real estate interests who fear what a rebuilt modernized Twin Towers would mean to New York City real estate market, what have you accomplished if you restore the street grid in Lower Manhattan and throw up a series of artistic masterpieces which fail to capture the soul of this metropolis? Know that even if you call it a "World Trade Center" it does not mean that the world or New York Citizens will embrace it as one. What if you build it and they do not come? Long after people remember the battle for ground zero, It will be remembered hopefully as far more than just another one of Pataki's follies. The Hole in the City's Heart will not be mended by placing a band-aid over the aorta. This is New York City and not Iken Pataki Town.

The Patriots Are Coming

Medina's Tea Party Patriots in Texas, those in the 9/11 Truth Movement (architects and engineers as well as scholars, patriots and investigative journalists) who have raised serious questions including strange circumstantial facts which call into doubt the government account and those supporting the Twin Towers Alliance to restore New York City's Skyline all see themselves as warriors in different battles, each waging a fight on different fronts, facing varying obstacles, levels and types of beauacracy, what they are all fighting is one and the same, the failure of American leaders to listen to the will of the people. Our leadership instead seems to expend a greater degree of effort availing themselves of the levers of power to stifle and crush dissent and prevent the unification of American citizens across demographic and party lines, many of whom may come to see the battle of their fellow citizens as equally worthy, if not interconnected. But make no mistake, much like like Paul Revere's midnight ride, your countrymen and women are trying to awaken and revitalize American consciousness while pushing towards retreat the forces of oppression, much like in the battles of Lexington & Concord.

To those leaders who feel inclined to join in supporting and repressing the will of the people, we recognize that joining and supporting us may cost you, in the short term, some support of fat cats to your campaign or perhaps even your seat of power. But, know that in joining The American Evolution you will reduce the likelihood of another American Revolution. In the spirit of a new age of enlightenment you see in the faces of the members of these separate movements, you may recognize the spirit of James Madison and Thomas Jefferson. Our goals is not to shred the republic on which we stand but to elevate America to a higher consciousness by restoring and preserving what made America great in the first place. "Truth, Justice and the American Way" is not merely a quote from Superman. WARNING: But know this if you continue to deny our rightful standing, we can and will morph into Paul Revere and John Paul Jones and this country is at risk of becoming a scene out of Gangs of New York in the Five Points battle.
